What's New
3D imaging and printing

3D imaging and printing have revolutionized the field of dentistry, offering significant advantages in diagnosis, treatment planning, and the fabrication of dental prosthetics. In dentistry, 3D imaging techniques such as cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) have become invaluable tools. CBCT allows dentists to capture detailed three-dimensional images of a patient’s oral structures, including teeth, jawbones, and soft tissues, with minimal radiation exposure. These high-resolution images enable precise analysis of dental conditions, aiding in the detection of issues like impacted teeth, bone defects, and root canal complexities. Moreover, 3D imaging facilitates more accurate treatment planning, enabling dentists to create custom treatment strategies tailored to each patient’s unique anatomy.

Additionally, 3D printing technology has brought about transformative changes in the production of dental appliances and prosthetics. Dental laboratories can now manufacture crowns, bridges, dentures, and even orthodontic devices with unprecedented precision and efficiency. Dentists and patients benefit from faster turnaround times and superior fitting, thanks to these 3D-printed solutions. Moreover, 3D printing allows for the creation of implant surgical guides, simplifying implant placement procedures and improving their success rates. Overall, 3D imaging and printing have not only enhanced the accuracy and quality of dental care but have also contributed to more comfortable and convenient experiences for both dental professionals and patients.
